The Open Water Diving Courses programme that we offer begins with ‘Discover Scuba Diving’ (test dive) and continues with the Open Water Diving course (Basic) and then on up to Divemaster. Our complete programme is taught in German, English and Spanish.

Our training standards are according to PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) and IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers).
Both organizations are internationally established and are represented world-wide through their branches.

 

 

 

ESSENTIALS of diving - Fundamental knowledge and techniques

The name alone should say enough. This course offers you fundamental knowledge, safety and the ground structure you need to start with diving. E.g. for secure and safe dive planning and performance. In case you are already a more experienced diver we are pleased to take activities to higher level and enhance your techniques and knowledge of diving, the use of your equipment, communication, propulsion, emergency situations, reel and lift bag use, different diving environments and of course the use of Nitrox!

Requirements: Minimum age 18 years, good physical condition!

Course description:

The course takes at least 3 days with approximately 3 dives, roughly 8-hours theory and dive (de)briefings. The course is finished with a final exam. Your depth limit will be changed according to your new certification. The maximum depth after an Open water course is 18 meter. The several below listed techniques will be explained and practiced and in different environments applied. Confined water dives are mandatory for the practice of special skills.

The following techniques, not part of regular diving education, are more elaborated below:

1. Equipment and proper use of the configuration

- The subject of this course are use of Harness and Wing, we go deeper into the different equipment configurations and help you to adept your equipment in a way that each and every part fits properly. Control leads you to perfection!

2. Propulsion techniques

- The following propulsion techniques are explained and practiced. Flutter Kick, Frog Kick, Shuffle Kick, Pull and Glide and the Back Kick!

3. Communication

- In depth training with Hand signals, Light signals and Touch-Contact communication.

4. Reel & Lift bag

- The use of a buoy or lift bag, configured with a line reel to send to the surface.

5. Emergency situations

- Proper reaction and prevention of panic is the bases to gain control over every critical situation. Control leads you to perfection!

6. Nitrox

- Understanding the principles of Nitrox and the proper use of it, on and below the surface!

7. Different diving environments

- Theoretical explanations in environments like Cavern- and Wreck diving!

Open Water Diver Course

The Open Water Diver program is the first step to the underwater world. We from H2O PRO Diving Team have made it our goal to teach this program thoroughly, as your first steps are the hardest but most important ones. For this reason we do not believe in 3 day beginner courses. The skills are not trained and practiced as a fast routine but slowly and in depth repeated as students feel more secure and confident after the course.

We train many other skills which are not trained by other sport diving organization. The Open Water Diver course is designed for those persons who like to learn how to dive properly and want to be able to be one with the water at the end of the course.

Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 15 years with written authorization from both parents or legal guardians

Contents:
- Theory lectures
- Pool and open water training
- Final Exam

Duration:

- 4 days
- 4 Open water dives
- 5 Training dives in confined water

Required equipment:
- Single tank with mono valve
- One first Stage with primary regulator (2nd Stage) and one alternate air source, a submersible pressure gauge and low pressure inflator hose
- Buoyancy control device (BCD-Jacket or wing with back plate)
- Diving suit
- Mask and fins - WITH snorkel
- Line cutter (recommended)
- Diving computer (recommended) or bottom timer, timing device (recommended) and depth gauge
- Wrist slates or wet notes
- Waterproof decompression tables
- Compass (recommended)
- Weights

Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver Course is designed to add in-water experience to Open Water Certified Divers. You will improve your knowledge by having an Instructor teaching you skills during your dives. Whether a deep dive, a wreck dive or cavern dive is made, each of these dives will create a better understanding and practice of safety and make you a confident and alert diver. Enjoy the fascination and wide variety of dives in this course. Either way, the H2O PRO Diving Team whished you lots of fun with this course.

The Advanced Open Water Diver course includes 5 dives: 2 "core" or required dives (navigation dive and deep dive) and 3 "elective" dives which you may choose from a list of dives (boat dive, drift dive, underwater naturalist dive, underwater photography dive, wreck dive, multilevel dive, etc...). A few hours of academic training are included in the course in order to review with you and correct the Knowledge Reviews for each dive and discuss with you the most important points. Your Advanced Open Water course may be completed in 2-3 days.

- PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification

- Final Exam (minimum score of 80%)

Duration:
- Ca. 3 Days
- 5 dives

- Buoyancy control device (BCD-Jacket or wing with back plate)

Rescue Diver

Challenging and rewarding best describes the Rescue Diver course. This course will increase your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond their own comfort and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies and provide help, rather than standing at the side with your hands in your pocket and be a spectator.

The purpose of this course is not to bring you to a professional medical level, which you will not be at the end of the course, but to provide you basic knowledge how to provide First Aid or Emergency Response in case of a diving accident when there is only you to help someone else, until professional help arrives.

Several different situations and rescue methods are discussed and practiced, both on land as in water. Do not hesitate, this course every sport or technical diver MUST do. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.

- Minimum age 18 years
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Completion of First Aid and CPR Training (not older than 2 years) with a reputable first aid organisation like The Red Cross

Contents:
- Theory lectures
- Open water Training
- Final Exam

Duration:
- ca. 3 days

Required equipment:
- Single tank with single valve
- One first stage with one main regulator (2nd stage) with one octopus, one submersible pressure gauge and low pressure inflator hose.
- Buoyancy Control Device (Jacket or Wing/Back plate)
- Dry- or wetsuit
- Mask and fins - WITH snorkel
- Line cutter (recommended)
- Dive computer, timing device (recommended) and depth gauge
- Slates or wet notes
- Waterproof decompression tables
- Compass
- Weights

DiveMaster

Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with an Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems. Your theoretical and practical knowledge of diving, planning, physiology, decompression, boat procedures, rescue readiness et cetera will increase immensely. You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.

This course is a special must for those who are intensively occupied with diving as a sport and/or eventually want to make their profession out of diving.

Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 18 years
- PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent
- Completion of First Aid and CPR Training (not older than 2 years) with a reputable first aid organisation like The Red Cross
- Minimum 60 logged dives

Contents:
- Theory lectures
- Land skills
- Guiding & Briefing Divers
- Assisting Instructors
- Knowledge Review and Home Study. Topics ranging from dive theory to assisting student divers in training
- Pool and open water Training
- Final Exam

Duration:
- No time limit (depending on instructor)
